The monument, a fine example of Atatürk's one-size-fits-all sculptures, was built in 1929 by the sculptor Ali Yontuç.
In 1929, the marble statue placed in front of the Governorate of Tekirdağ was damaged for repair and a copy was placed in its place.
After its care, it will be exhibited at the Museum of Ethnography of Tekirdağ.
