The Madrasah of the Thin Minaret
It was built in 1254 (Hijri 663) by the Seljuk Vizier Sahib Ata Fahreddin Ali to read the science of hadith. The architect is Abdullah's son Kelük. On the crown gate, one of the masterpieces of Seljuk stone craftsmanship, there are Yasin and Fatih suras written in Seljuk script along with embossed geometric and vegetal decorations. The interior of the building consists of a courtyard, a classroom, and weaving cells. The base of the minaret is made using brick material covered with cut stone and is decorated with acanthus leaf on the front. It is a double chancel made of turquoise blue brick with a semi-pyramid-shaped triangle, 12-cornered, trunk-cornered. It was destroyed by lightning in 1901 down to the first floor. The Medrese of the Thin Minaret, which was turned into a museum in 1956, exhibits stone and wooden artifacts from the Seljuk, Beylik and Ottoman periods.
