The Mosque of Mevlevihane
Located to the east of Haşimiye Square, the building was built in the 18th century as the Mevlevihane for the Mevlevites of Urfal. It was built in the 20th century as a monastery for the Urfal Monks. After the closure of the mosques, the building was opened for worship as a mosque. The structure has been restored by the General Directorate of Foundations. The mosque has a square plan and is covered with a single dome. The market, adjacent to the western façade of the building, has been converted into a market where gift items are sold after the expropriation works carried out when it was previously a butchers' market.
