The Rizwani Mosque
The mosque, located on the northern shore of Lake Halil ur-Rahman, was built in 1736 AH. It was built in 1149 by the Governor of Raqqa, Ridvan Ahmet Pasha. The mausoleum was built as parallel and three-domed. To the east of the mosque is a single-nave minaret. The entrance door of Harim is made using two-colored materials. The harem (main place of worship) is very bright with windows opening in all directions. The most interesting part of the structure as a decoration is the entrance door. The wooden door is made by the technique of passing and shoveling without the use of nails. There are rich vegetal and geometric patterns on the door. The madrasa is located to the north of the mosque courtyard.
