One of the historical places to visit in Edirne is the Muradiye Mosque. The second. The Muradiye Mosque, which is believed to have been built in 1436 at the request of Murad, is a simple, two-domed mosque on the outside, but its interior is quite ornate. This sacred building, decorated with Rumi motifs and whose altar bears the most important textures of Chinese craftsmanship, had to be restored after it was damaged by an earthquake in 1953. The first was Sultan II. Although it was built as a Mevlevihane according to Murad's dream, the fight of the dervishes caused it to be converted into a mosque.
