After visiting the northern part of the island on the first day, you can start visiting the historic Greek villages in the south of the island on the second day. The nearest village to the center is Zeytinliköy, three kilometers from the center. Recently, many cafes and restaurants have been opened in the village by Greeks who used to live in Zeytinli. You can drink the island's famous bottom coffee in these cafes, or you can start your day with breakfast here. Zeytinliköy is also one of the four protected villages on the island. The oldest church on the island, the Church of Agios Georgios, is in this village. The church, which is still open for worship, can be visited.
