This is Arthereistanbul. It makes an important contribution to the art scene of Istanbul by hosting various cultural events that transcend the boundaries of art. It also aims to bring together and share different cultures by helping Syrian artists to form a community in Turkey. Arthereistanbul was founded in 2014 by artists who were forced to flee their countries due to the war in Syria. This art center offers many art producers who have been displaced to date the opportunity to meet, work and exhibit their works in Istanbul. Arthereistanbul is a space that covers three floors of a building located in the Yeldeğirmeni neighborhood of Kadıköy. This space includes a sound recording studio, a dark room, exhibition areas and workshop areas. There is also a multi-purpose hall on the entrance floor, where film screenings are held regularly. The friendly cats, which you will often see in every corner of Arthereistanbul, also add a different atmosphere to the place.

Arthereistanbul also serves as one of the venues of the Istanbul Biennial. During the biennial, many stories, sounds and conversations are intertwined in this space. After visiting the site, you can enjoy the enchanting view of Istanbul as you descend to the dock. As the sounds of seagulls echo on the dock, you can breathe in the scents around you and discover the colorful streets of Spring and Fashion. Arthereistanbul offers an experience that integrates with the art as well as the surrounding neighborhoods.

Arthereistanbul is an original and inclusive art platform founded in 2014 by Syrian artists who faced the difficulties created by the conflicts in Syria and did not find the opportunity to continue their artistic activities after leaving their country and settling in Istanbul. Its aim is to create a dialogue and a creative meeting point that transcends the differences between artists and cultural practitioners in a general sense, not just in terms of nationality or origin. Since then, arthereistanbul's activities have aimed to use the power of art to leave behind conflicts and political divisions and to come together through the universal language of art.

arthereistanbul has embraced the principle of being a free and neutral space. This space provides a safe platform for artistic creation, cultural interaction and dialogue. Aware of the rich cultural diversity of the Middle East, he envisions this region as a geography without borders that is home to different cultures.

Its spaces in Istanbul function as a versatile space where artists can exhibit their productions, organize workshops and carry out activities. It serves as a center for artists to develop their practice and be supported through self-organization and cultural activism. In addition, it hosts arts management programs, international artistic residencies, public gallery spaces, and various cultural events.

Arthereistanbul, which has been operating since 2014, has supported many displaced art producers in Istanbul and offered them the opportunity to work and exhibit. The venue, located in Yeldeğirmeni Mahallesi, includes various departments such as a sound recording studio, a dark room, exhibition and workshop areas. Film screenings on the ground floor of the venue bring together different forms of art. Also, one of the sweet surprises of the place is the friendly cat guests who welcome you here.

When you visit arthereistanbul, you not only enjoy the art, but also the fascinating views of Istanbul. The nearby pier welcomes you with the sounds of seagulls and the smell of the sea. For those who want to explore the colorful streets of Istanbul, this pier, which leads to the Bahariye and Moda districts, is an unforgettable part of the arthereistanbul experience.

Her milleten insanı görebilirsiniz burada.

(Self servis)
