Located in Izmir Menemen District, Tashan sheds light on history as one of the living examples of Turkish Islamic architecture. With its 45 rooms, Tashan is one of the first examples of an inner-city inn that began with the revival of trade.

A two-story structure made of rubble stone and brick with a square plan and a symmetrical entrance, Taşhan ⁇ is thought to have been built in the 17th century, although the exact date is unknown. It is thought to have been made in the century. However, the tomb of Sheikh Kamil, who is said to have been commissioned to build the Tashan, is located immediately adjacent to the khan. The upper floor of the inn has 24 rooms, while the lower floor has 16 rooms used as a warehouse and barn.

After the Republican period, Taşhan was used as a garage by firefighters, funerals and municipal vehicles. Later, after being used as a fruit and vegetable for a short time, it was left to its own devices and became a place for stray animals and homeless people. The structure, which is planned to be returned to the county and used, serves today as a trading center after undergoing restoration three times between various dates.
