The Gönen Merkez Spa is located around the Vali Hüseyin Öğütçen City Park. There are four hotels located around the thermal facilities located here. The water of the Gönen springs, which is licensed by the Ministry of Health, is fluoridated thermal mineral water with a mineral density of 1797 milligrams per liter. It is believed that the spa waters have healing properties after traumas occurring in the musculoskeletal system, as well as facial paralysis, carpal tunnel syndrome, nerve spasms, back pain, lumbar hernia, neck hernia, calcification, tendon trauma, urinary tract diseases, cardiovascular diseases, gynecological diseases, digestive system diseases and respiratory system diseases. The spa resort has many features such as restaurants, a grass football field, tennis courts, hiking trails, a fitness center, tourism medicine, a physical therapy center, thermal pools, thermal baths and baths that can be shared by hotel guests located here. The spa waters are known to be between 71-82 °C and have a pH value of 7.26. The central baths are literally thermal healing centers and welcome many guests throughout the year.
