The Dalaman Tea
The river, which flows into the Mediterranean Sea between the Western Toros Plateau and the Sky Mountains, 10 km from the airport, separates Dalaman from the Middle East. You can enjoy the rough waters by rafting in the turquoise river, full of excitement and adventure. There are cycling and hiking trails, restaurants and tea gardens around this natural wonder. The river is also famous for its trout and kefali, which are popular with fishermen. As you cross the river, you should see the historic suspension bridge, which is 30 meters high and 50 meters long, known to be from the Roman period. The suspension bridge, also known as the Akk Bridge due to the color of the stones used in its construction, was built to connect the village and Fethiye to Mugla. Nowadays, it promotes rafting on the Dalaman River.
