It is known that Osman Hamdi Bey, who initiated the excavations in the ancient city of Lagina, began to paint his famous work "Turtle Trainer" in the house in Turgut Mahalles, where he stayed for two years in 1891-1893. Osman Hamdi Bey Manor has been restored and converted into a museum by the Mughal Governorate.
