The Rahmi Koç Museum, established on an area of 27 thousand square meters on the banks of the canal, has been in operation since 1997. In the museum, which is especially fun for children over the age of four, you can witness important details about the development of transportation, industry, and communication.
In the museum, which consists of three sections: the dock, the shipyard and the outdoor area, you can see different machines such as the Douglas DC-3 aircraft, the TCG Uluçalireis submarine, the Vernicos Irini steam tug, old car models, an original tram and an old locomotive. It aims to collect, host, research and preserve objects and documents related to industry and engineering. Scientific tools, the Fenerbahce Ferry, communication tools and nostalgic cars are also the sections that most attract children. You need a minimum of three hours to visit the museum. During the tour, you can stop at one of the museums' cafes.
The Rahmi Koç Museum is open to visitors from Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 to 17:00, Saturday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, except Mondays. It is open for visits between 30 and 17:00, Saturday-Sunday: 10:00 and 18:00.
Admission is 60 ⁇ for adults and 30 ⁇ for students. It's not negotiable.
