The House of Inat (Inat Kuća) Restaurant
The House of Perseverance, located near Baščaršija, is located on the banks of the Miljacka River. It's the story that makes the House of Perseverance interesting. The emperor of Austria-Hungary, who wanted to build a magnificent town hall on the banks of the Miljacka River between 1892 and 1894, found a Bosnian landlord who would not allow his house to be demolished. The owner of the house asked for a bag of ducats as compensation and for his house to be built exactly the same on the opposite bank of the Miljacka River. So a replica of his house, the current House of Perseverance, was built on the opposite bank of the river. Because of the owner's stubbornness, the house was named the House of Stubbornness. There's a sign on the door of the house that says, "I'm on the other side, and I insisted on not giving you the house. ' is written on it. Today, this old building is used as a restaurant with traditional Bosnian cuisine.
