Sille is a settlement 7 km from the city center of Selçuklu. 327 years after the birth of Jesus, the mother of the Byzantine emperor Constantine, Helena, decided to build a temple in Sille for the Christians who visited Konya on their way to Jerusalem for a day of pilgrimage. The foundation stone of this church was laid in the name of Michael the Archangel. The church has undergone centuries of repairs to reach its present day. A Turkish repair book written in Greek letters above the inner door of the church gives information about the history of the church. This book is dated 1833. On the same book there is another three-line book indicating that the church was seen during the reign of Sultan Abdulmecit of the 4th Reparation. There is another three-line book that states that the repair was seen during the reign of Sultan Abdulmecit.
