Çarşıdan hem ayrı hem bütün olan cami sanki alışverişini yapan halkın ve satış yapmakta olan esnafın işlerini aksatmayacağı şöyle 2 dakika uğraması için düşünülmüş bir ibadethanedir. Çarşıdan Camiin o hoş revaklı avlusuna çıkan iki köşesindeki merdivenle ayrılmış üst kat ve camiin tamamı ile çarşı, adeta birbirinden ayrı dünyalardır. Ecdat nasıl da başarmış bunu! Herhalde bugün yapmaya kalksak, cami avlusunun altına denk gelen tüm dükkanların tavanından şıp şıp su damlardı.

Uzun zamandır restorasyondaydı. Çarşı içinde hoş bir camii. Süslemesi ve çinileri ile ünlü, huzur dolu bir mabet.

Eminönü dar sokaklarında güzel ve ferah bir camii. Çinileri göz alıcı. Mimar Sinan Tarafından Selimiye Camiinin provası olarak yapıldığı söylenir. Yolunuz Eminönüne düştüğünde uğramadan geçmeyin. Ayakkabıları yanınıza almak için poşet götürmenizi tavsiye ederim. Tekrar gideceğim bir yer...
