Piazza Venezia ile Kolezyum'un arasında, görkemli bir bina. Beyaz saf mermerden yapılmış. Merkezdeki at üstündeki heykelde Vittoro Emanuele'yi göstermektedir. Sağ ve sol üstteki atlarda ise Tanrıça Victoria heykeli vardır. Pazar günü ziyaret ettiğimizde arkasındaki alan trafiğe kapatılmıştı. (Diğer günlerde nasıldır bilmiyorum.) Trafiğe kapalı alanda sokak sanatçıları müziklerini icra ediyor ve gerçekten sanatla tarihin buluşması noktası olmuş. Biz bayıldık, çok sevdik.

İtalya’nın başkenti Roma’da bulunan II Vittorio Emanuele Abidesi, Roma’da gezilecek yerler arasındadır. Konum olarak Antik Roma’nın merkezi olan Roma Forumu‘nun hemen yanında yer alır. Diğer adı Ulusun Mihrabı anlamına gelen Altare della Patria, büyük merdivenlere ve heykellere sahip. 1911 yılında bitirilen anıt, Birleşik İtalya’nın ilk kralı olan II. Vittorio Emanuele‘ye adanmıştır.
