It is among the most important and famous warships in the world. It has been restored by experts, preserving the original, and is on display in a large memorial museum at the entrance to Tarsus. He is best remembered for his heroism on March 18, 1915, when he stopped the World Fleet, known as the "Great Armada", and set the boundaries of today's world geography.

Tarih bilincimizi korumamız için mutlaka gezip görmemiz gerek bir müze. Fazla ilgi gören bir yer olduğunu söyleyemem çünkü gittiğimizde kimse yoktu. Merkezi hatta ulaşım açısından çok kolay bir yerde olmasına rağmen. Belkide tanıtımının fazla yapılmamasından kaynaklı böyle olmuştur. İçersindeki tuvaletler bakımsızdı.

İlgisi olanların görmek isteyebileceği bir yer. Tam olarak bir açık müze şeklinde. Girişte hiç görevli yok. Ücret yok. Direk kapıdan girip kendiniz geziyorsunuz. Rehber eşliğinde anlatımlarla daha keyifli olabilir.

Çok güzel bir gemi, bir tarih yazılırken tarihin yazılmasında en büyük katkıyı sağlayan bir gemi. Buraya getiren bu şekilde sergileyen her kim varsa hepsinden allah razı olsun tüm illerimizde çanakkale ile ilgili bir müze bir sergi alanı muhakkak gerekiyor. Ben çanakkale ruhunu tüm gençlerimizin yaşamasını istiyorum. Bu cihan harbi diye bahsedilen bu harbi tüm gençlerimiz ruhunda yaşasın istiyorum. Tarsus bu konuda güzel bir iş yapmış..

Savaştan sonra yük gemisi olarak kullanılan ve Kıbrıs Mersin arasında yük taşırken batan 10 yıl kadar belki daha da fazla batık olarak kalan gemi çıkarıldıktan sonra da hurda olarak bir Çelik fabrikasına gönderilecekken dönemin Belediye Başkanı Burhanettin Kocamaz tarafından satın alınarak restore edilip Tarsus'a kazandırılıyor geminin aslıdır tarihi değere sahiptir. Çanakkale'de bir benzeri vardır ancak orijinal değildir

Çanakkale savaşları sırasında pek çok savaş gemisini batırarak "Çanakkale Geçilmez" gerçeğini akıllara kazıyan Nusret Gemisi'nin aslının sergilendiği parktır. Savaş sonrası özel bir şirkete satılan gemi Mersin limanında batmış ardından Tarsus Belediyesi'nin sahip çıkmasıyla Mersin'den Tarsus'a üç parçaya ayrılarak tır ile getirilmiş ve oluşturulan bu parka yerleştirilmiştir. Bu küçük parkta Temsili Çanakkale Şehitleri Mezarlığı, Seyit Onbaşı heykeli, Yüzbaşı İbrahim Hakkı Bey Müzesi, Resim sergisi salonu da bulunmaktadır. Çanakkale savaşında kullanılan mermi sayısına atfen Müzede bir metrekare camekanda 6000 mermi sergilenmektedir. Girişin ücretsiz olduğu Nusret mayın gemisi gezilebilmektedir. Parkın içerisinde otopark bulunmamaktadır ama hemen bitişiğinde aracınızı park edebileceğiniz alan mevcuttur. Nusret Mayın Gemisi'nin tarihi misyonuna yaraşır değerini bulduğu parkı gezmenizi öneririm.
